Albemarle Health Enters Pink Glove Dance Contest

For the second year in a row, Albemarle Health is entering the Pink Glove Dance competition to support breast cancer awareness. This national contest, created and sponsored by Medline, showcases submitted videos of people dancing in pink medical gloves. The public is invited to vote for their favorite through Facebook, and the video with the most votes receives $10,000 for the breast cancer charity of their choice.

This year’s Albemarle Health video features not only employees and physicians, but also members of the Pasquotank County High School Cheerleaders, Northeastern High School Drum Line and the Elizabeth City State University Marching Band.

If it wins, Albemarle Health will give the prize money to Albemarle Regional Health Services’ North Carolina Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program which provides free and low-cost mammograms and follow-up. So, support your local healthcare team and vote October 12 through November 2 for the Albemarle Health video by going to and click on the Pink Gloves Dance link.
