Albemarle Health, a Vidant Health Partner, is northeastern North Carolina’s largest regional health and wellness provider. Facilities include: Albemarle Hospital, a full-service medical center in Elizabeth City, featuring critical care, diagnostic imaging, surgical and cardiovascular services, and comprehensive women’s care; Regional Medical Center, in Kitty Hawk, which houses an outpatient surgery center, laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, and offices for multiple physician specialists; Regional Oncology Center, a state of the art cancer treatment facility located on the campus of Albemarle Hospital; and the Albemarle Health Sleep Center, in Elizabeth City.
Albemarle Health offers primary care through Island Medical Center, in Manteo, and the Albemarle Hospital Foundation Community Care Clinic in Elizabeth City provides primary care and prescription services to the uninsured of Camden, Currituck, and Pasquotank counties. Albemarle Health also established and supports Gateway Community Health Centers in Gatesville and Tyner. These Centers provide primary care and some prescription services to the uninsured of Chowan, Gates, and Perquimans counties.
