JAMES F. “JIM” PERRY BEGINS APPOINTMENT TO ALBEMARLE HOSPITAL AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
The Albemarle Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners has accepted the appointment of James F. “Jim” Perry to serve as the Dare County representative on its 15-member board.
Mr. Perry owns Jim Perry and Company Realtors in Kitty Hawk. He is the Director of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, a past president and past director of the College of the Albemarle Foundation, a past president of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors, treasurer of North Bank Realty, and a past chairman of the Kill Devil Hills Planning Board.
“Jim Perry is an outstanding leader who brings a strong business background to the Albemarle Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners,” said Sharon M. Tanner, President and CEO of Albemarle Health. “Meeting the healthcare needs of Dare County residents is important to all of us at Albemarle Health. Mr. Perry will represent the people of the Outer Banks with diligence, and help us extend our reach of quality care to everyone who calls northeastern North Carolina home.”
Perry, along with Jeff L. Dixon, Sonja W. Hibbard, Cecil Perry, and Sherri L. “Sue” Weimar began a three-year term on the Albemarle Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners in January. Each board member serves one three-year term, and may serve a second term if selected for reappointment.
Albemarle Health is northeast North Carolina’s premiere health and wellness provider. Facilities include: Albemarle Hospital, a full-service hospital in Elizabeth City, featuring critical care, surgical and diagnostic imaging services, and comprehensive women’s care; Regional Medical Center, in Kitty Hawk, which houses an outpatient surgery center, laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, and offices for nearly 50 physicians; and Regional Oncology Center, a state of the art cancer treatment facility located on the campus of Albemarle Hospital. In addition, Albemarle Health offers primary care through Island Medical Center, in Manteo, and Gates County Medical Center, in Gatesville.
