The Albemarle
Area SAFE KIDS Coalition (AASK) is sponsored by Albemarle
Hospital. This Coalition's mission is to reduce the
death and disability to children 14 and under that
is caused by unintentional injury. AASK is a group
of local agencies and people that work to accomplish
this mission. Outreach is provided to several counties
in Northeastern North Carolina and is based on several
key injury risk areas for children.
The Albemarle Area SAFE KIDS Coalition is a chapter
of the North Carolina SAFE KIDS network. The parent
organization, the National SAFE KIDS Campaign, along
with North Carolina SAFE KIDS, helps to support local
activities through grants, equipment, and the availability
of other such resources. |
