Albemarle Hospital's Emergency Department is northeastern North Carolina's largest, and most advanced. Our Emergency Department is fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with physicians trained in emergency medicine, and experienced and qualified nurses and support personnel. We treat more than 30,000 people each year, with injuries ranging from cuts and broken bones, to heart attacks and stroke. We also offer patients a Fast Track service, which is designed to reduce waiting times and speed treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
