Obstetrics (OB)
- Post-natal strengthening exercises and procedures that deal with tight muscles, and poor postural habits.
- Massage and other soft-tissue techniques to increase circulation, relieve pain, or improve tissue mobility.
- Joint mobilization to increase range of motion, and the relief of pain.
- Fitting of therapeutic belts and supports.
- Education in appropriate body mechanics, and energy conservation for work, home, and play.
Osteoporosis
- Muscle stretching and relaxation techniques.
- Strengthening exercises for the leg, hip, and back muscles
to improve posture, balance, and ambulation.
- Electrical stimulation, TENS, moist heat, massage, or
cold to deal with back pain.
- The fitting of back braces or other orthotic devices
when needed.
Every Woman Primetime
Women at age 40 and older have special health needs and life concerns. Every Woman Primetime empowers women to take charge of their health by providing member benefits and services at Albemarle Hospital to help women get the most out of life every day. Every Woman Primetime membership is free and includes:

- Expedited patient registration
- A free small coffee or tea at Cream & Sugar Station while at the hospital
- Quarterly health information mailings
- Invitations to scheduled programs covering a broad range of health topics
- A standing invitation to monthly Green Tea Parties
- Notification of other special events and services at Albemarle Hospital
Green Tea Party
The Green Tea Party is a series of ongoing socials providing information related to the physiological and psychological changes a woman experiences at midlife and beyond. The Green Tea Party provides health information in a fun, engaged, comfortable venue to encourage women to participate and share their experiences. Green tea and light refreshments are served at each social. Registration is free and limited to 20 per session.
