Series of Photos around the Women’s Center
- We renovated our Women’s Center in 2006, making it more inviting for expectant families anxiously awaiting their new bundle of joy. Its natural colors help soothe and relax women who may be visiting us for other procedures, including surgery. The finished look, with specially chosen colors and artwork that invites a warm and cozy feel, help make our facelift a wonderful place to bring a new family member into the world. The redesigned Women’s Center includes new wallpaper, painting, and flooring – all with the comfort of new parents in mind.
- Help is just a button away, from our friendly and helpful staff at the Labor and Delivery nurses’ station. Readily available to assist you, these nurses have the training, education, and experience to handle everything from helping change a diaper to answering questions about mothering expectations.
- Our labor and delivery rooms are where everything happens, including your baby’s birth. We have comfortable beds for mom, a comfortable sofa for mom’s helper, a glider-rocker, and soft lighting helps everything feel like home after baby is born.
- If you are visiting, we think you’ll find this area a spacious, inviting, and comfortable place to wait while your loved one is in our Women’s Center. You can even see a beautiful new bundle of joy – or two, or three…
- Albemarle Hospital’s nursery also underwent a facelift in 2007. New wallpaper, artwork, and an ergonomically correct baby bathing sink were installed to keep our nursery up to date with the latest looks and trends new mothers expect.
- You’ll feel comfortable in our Women’s Center knowing our nurses are just a call away. While the frosted glass provides a measure of privacy, the open look and feel to the nurse station allows our staff to see all rooms inside the Women’s Center, as well as the hall leading to the nursery.
- After you deliver your baby, you will be transferred to a post-partum room for the remainder of your stay. Every patient room in Albemarle Hospital’s Women’s Center received fresh wallpaper, new artwork, a comfortable new chair for visitors, and subtle lighting designed to make your stay a more pleasant experience.
