Volunteering

If you have ever thought of sharing your time and talents volunteering, Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is a great place to start.  As a volunteer, your role is one of an ambassador, a liaison to the patients and their families and an educator to the public. Positions are available in the coffee shop, at reception/information desks throughout the hospital, as patient representatives or palliative care companions and helping with transporting patients. Volunteers give their time and talents to the patients and staff while receiving many benefits. There is a deep feeling of personal fulfillment in being a volunteer, for in helping others we often help ourselves.

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center and its patients have been fortunate to have strong volunteer support from citizens in our area since 1951. We believe volunteers are a vital element in our effort to provide quality care for our patients. Many hours, as well as dollars, have been contributed by dedicated volunteers. The time spent as a volunteer benefits the entire community.

When you volunteer for Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, you’ll will become a part of a winning team.
